Island Knoll
Designed to embrace its site and celebrate natural light, this Italian-inspired residence on Lake Austin balances classical architectural language with contemporary livability. The layout follows a clear progression from public to private, with each space opening to framed views of the surrounding landscape.
The material palette is intentionally restrained, using stone, plaster, aged wood, and steel to create a backdrop that is both rich and timeless. A central vaulted living space anchors the home, while the open kitchen and veranda are designed for hosting gatherings and connecting with nature.
The private suite wing features soaring ceilings, a spa-like bath, and a two-level closet designed as a boutique-style retreat. A fully programmed lower level adds layers of experience with a wine and cigar room, media space, and gym, offering privacy and sophistication beyond the main level.
This project exemplifies how a site-sensitive design paired with enduring materials can result in a home that feels both luxurious and grounded in its environment.
