Wildlife Museum
This museum renovation reimagines an existing civic structure as a renewed cultural landmark, preserving its classical architectural framework while thoughtfully adapting it for contemporary use. The original limestone façade has been carefully restored and refined, reinforcing the building’s sense of permanence. A rhythmic procession of arched upper-level windows remains a defining feature, now enhanced to improve daylighting and interior experience. The restored cornice and articulated parapet maintain the building’s dignified silhouette, anchoring its presence at the street corner with renewed clarity.
At the pedestrian level, the remodel introduces expansive steel framed storefront glazing to increase transparency and strengthen the museum’s connection to the community. Updated entry sequences, custom metal canopies, and integrated lighting elevate the façade while respecting its historic character. The balance of restored masonry and newly illuminated interiors creates a welcoming glow at dusk, transforming the building into a revitalized civic destination. One that honors its architectural legacy while supporting the evolving needs of a contemporary museum program.
